I am a little frustrated by some of the things that I hear christians say in revolt to the cultural change that is continuing to take place in our society from “Merry Christmas” to “Happy Holidays.”  I heard one angry “christian” berate the Wal-Mart greeter and besmirch the name of Jesus when she screamed at the top of her lungs, “Its Merry Christmas to me you Stupid Face.” (maybe she didn’t say Stupid Face, but I cant really remember.)

I cringe when I see such outlandish displays of Non-Christian activity perpetuated by those who claim to be the most vehement followers of our Lord.  However, their fruit is what determines the kind of tree they are.  (Matthew 12:33)

Remember, folks, we have to begin to engage the lost with the love that Jesus showed both in the manger, and on the cross.  We have to be the beacon of hope, instead of trying to beat them into submission with our ridiculous notion of what it means to be in the Christmas spirit.  Instead of the Christmas spirit, I’d like to see some Christians walk in the Spirit…
